A Full House

Dear Children,
The other weekend we had a few visitors; seventeen to be exact.  Grandpa Steve and Grandma Barb decided to visit because it was Aunt Paige's Spring Break.  One thing led to another and before long Aunt Annie, Aunt Genie, Aunt Brittany, Aunt Kaitlin and their combined nine kids came along too.

They ate dinner at our house one night and I must admit I rather enjoyed feeding such a large crowd.  It was a bit stressful and lots of work, but satisfying in a weird way.  After all twenty-one of us ate dinner we headed to their resort.  We were going to have some people spend the night at our house, but we thought it would be more fun (and crazy) if everyone stayed together.

The next day we went swimming at the pool and we had so much fun.  We were joking all day that people probably thought we were polygamists because there were seven women, thirteen kids and one man!  Grandpa Steve was a good sport putting up with all of us and he played hard with the grandkids.

Papa joined us at the end of the day for a trip to the Bellagio Gardens and Fountain.  Aunt Brittany was adament that she watch our kids while we went on a date and although it would have been wonderful we decided to do the resposible thing (blech, sometimes that's no fun).  We took you kiddos home and put you to bed at a decent hour since you'd been playing hard all day with cousins and you had soccer games in the morning.

The next morning our dear family had to hit the road, but before they did they stopped by to cheer Nora on in her soccer game.  It was fabulous having so many fans on the sideline!

We had a great time and we hope they come back and visit real soon (wink, wink).
 Love, Mama
