Family time, Quality time?

Okay.  So here we have my husband helping my 2 1/2 year old learn how to shoot a BB gun.  Crazy?  Um, yes.  When we first got married I was so against guns , but now that we've been married for 8 years I have come to accept the fact that Trey's family is BIG into guns and therefore it is a part of him.  It is now a part of me.  Weird.  I actually enjoy going out in the hills to shoot at bottles and cans.  Sounds very red neck, I know.   Jonas got a BB gun from Grandpa Dewey for Christmas so we took the family out the other weekend to test it out (I still think he's too young for his own gun :)).
Clara liked shooting Trey's 22 instead, I think because it was shiny and gold.  Such a girl.
It's a little hard to shoot and that is why Jonas has such a scrunchy face.  I'm glad he needs help shooting it, it's also air pumped or something or other for safety reasons.  So no, Ralphy, you won't shoot your eye out.   You think he'll hit his mark with his eyes closed?

  1. I love that picture of Jonas trying to shoot the gun. Your little Atticus is a doll! Hope you are getting some sleep. Wish I was there to help out with the kiddos or something.

I think that it is so fun that you all go out and make shooting a family thing. Great pictures!

  4. I love that you all go out together. And of course Grandpa Dewey gave Jonas a gun - what else? The pictures are so cute. I love that Trey is teaching the girls right along with Jonas. I never got to go shooting with my dad until 5 years ago, but my kids were with us.
