Oh Fair New Mexico

Dear Children,
Our Memorial Day weekend was fantastic!  We went to New Mexico and stayed at Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Dewey's house.  A large majority of our time was spent in their amazing backyard.

Everyone loved going on the swing.  At all hours of the day a child (or adult) could be found here.

Even when still in their pajamas!

Atticus loved throwing the ball to Aunt Becca's dogs and did so every chance he got.  See him there in the corner?

He thought it would be fun to dress up and when Jackson (age 3) saw his shoes he said, "Ooh, I like your Princess shoes Atticus!".  Atticus is looking at me like, "What mom?  Is there something wrong with my outfit?"

On Saturday we went searching for bracelets for the girl's Birthday because that was one of the gifts  Grandma and Grandpa wanted to get you.  Our first stop was Grandson's in the back of Jack's Boots and Saddles.

While the girls tried on bracelets the boys enjoyed mechanical horse rides.

These were the one's decided upon.  Gorgeous, yes?   But wait, we weren't done yet.  The grandparents still wanted to buy the girls rings so our next stop was River Fest where various jewelry vendors had their wares set up.

Of course we had to stop at  Cornamania, the sweet roasted corn stand that my family owns and runs.  Yum!

While searching for the perfect rings we explored River Fest and the kids got spoiled (like always) by Grandpa Dewey.

There was a train ride...

a bounce house...

ring purchasing...

and wildlife to enjoy.

Look!  Ducks!

Atticus quickly pointed out to me that they weren't ducks.  They were, in fact, geese.  Oops, my bad.

Later that evening we had the priviledge of going to a special Celebration.  A celebration of two people who are very dear to all of us.  It was a celebration of love.  More on that to come.

Love, Mama
