Dear Love,
I'm a very fickle girl. I know I change my mind so often and fast I sometimes give you whiplash. I'm sure you wish I wouldn't do that to you. It makes your neck sore and believe it or not, it stresses me out too, but alas, I can't seem to mend my ways.
This is one of those times. Remember just the other day I was saying that I didn't really like the Feb.14th Holiday, but I was slowly warming up to the idea of it after TEN YEARS of being married? Well, I think I maybe... um... kind of... might be more than luke warm on the subject now. Two reasons really. I love justifying my thinking with lists. Why? I have no idea, but here are my reasons I now like the Love Holiday instead of being totally annoyed by it:
1. This comment from my friend Melissa totally makes sense and I think she was aiming it at me ;-) :
I love V-day, not the [cheesy] commercialism... not the "you're only complete with a significant other"... not the roses, not the chocolates, it's the letters. Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved the idea about expressing love thru a secret note... I LOVE to say "Hey you, Love Ya!" to family and friends alike. Like Mother's Day or Father's Day, I don't wait until that day to say "you mean THIS to me"... but I love a day set aside to celebrate what's in the heart.
Duh! I love letters/cards/notes too so it should only make since that I love this holiday. Right?! Remind me again why I didn't like it?

2. This man (look at you with our cute little babe!):
knows how to make a girl feel special and if you're willing to do so even more on Valentine's Day then why not let you?! Plus, you make my heart sing so why not celebrate that love?
3. My lens broke on my camera more than a year ago and because I'm so cheap I've just been taking pictures with my camera phone. You got me a new lens for Valentine's Day (Woohoo!!), but felt like it wasn't sentimental enough (your words) so then you got me this:
What is it and who the heck would want it? The answer is a bird feeder and me. Me, I want it! I love it and you knew I would because I told you so months ago but I wasn't sure you were listening. When I woke up you had it displayed like this in the living room. I really enjoy how you never just give gifts, you present them. I don't know what surprised me more seeing the bird feeder or seeing the origami on it. My husband knows how to do origami? Since when?! Check it out:
Later that day we went out to lunch with the littles and in the evening snuggled up to watch a movie together. Such a rare treat these days with that darn Pharmacy school always getting in the way.
I love you to the moon and back! xoxo, Me
awwww good job trey!
